#21 | Meeting with Rim 720 520 Marie-Lou CAYOT
It is in the Middle East, in Lebanon more precisely that we interviewed Rim, Oracle EBS Consultant based in Beirut.

Hello Rim, can you present yourself?

My name is Rim Koubeissi, graduate in IT applied for management, I pursue my professional activity since 2006.
Mother of two, Mira 5 years old and Jude 1 and a half years old, I love nature and am interested in everything related to the environment and all related to pollution reduction.

You arrived at Sword six years ago, can you tell us more about your role and your journey within the team?

Sword Beirut is a nearshore development centre founded in 2000 in order to serve European markets, especially the Swiss and French markets. For 20 years, we have developed a very stable and prestigious client base. We deliver high quality development and testing services with a specialisation in certain technologies (Oracle, J2EE, Web, Mobile development, BI and .Net) and in certain sectors (logistics, e-commerce, financial applications…).

Indeed, I arrived at Sword in the summer of 2014 to join the “Oracle eBusiness Suite” team. Since then, the team has grown considerably and has carried out several interesting TMAs and projects. I have worked on different projects since my arrival, all on Oracle eBusiness, allowing me to develop my technical and functional skills at the same time.

What are your missions?

Our team is specialised in the implementation and support of the Oracle eBusiness Suite software and I am working on an accounting and reconciliation project.

Tell us about your team atmosphere!

The work within the Sword Beirut team is very professional, well organised, coordinated and cooperative. The atmosphere is family-friendly, which greatly reduces the stressful nature of our work.

Can you tell us a few words about Beirut? What is your opinion on the city and its surroundings?

In Beirut, you will find the oriental charm mixed with the occidental culture, the city has a deep history and its culture is very open to other countries. I think a candidate coming to settle in Beirut will be able to integrate quickly and easily into the Lebanese society.

What would you say to a candidate to convince him·her to join Sword in Lebanon?

Join us at Sword Beirut and you will benefit from an international exposure with mainly European customers. You will live an amazing experience and diverse in terms of technical and functional knowledge. Above all, you will be surrounded by a team ready to assist, support and advance you in your profession. Without forgetting a very pleasant stay in the city of Beirut.

One last word?

I would like to thank you for carrying out this interview with me, wishing you to remain safe during the pandemic period.
